I love this trailer for the comic book called Kairos.

It just makes me want to see this as a movie.

Maybe you can make a manga and animation that go hand in hand as a promotion!  In truth Anime and manga go hand in hand.  Often times Manga tests the popularity of something and if popular is created into an anime.  In turn that anime creates Manga sales.  Maybe an idea when you are deciding to get into business.

I came across this beautiful tribute awhile back.   I loved the style and loved all the little details.  This tribute to Hayao Miyazaki is awesome.

And now here is the breakdown.  The guy actually uses free software to make most of this.

Its a lot of work but beautiful!

I thought I’d share this with you all.

He talks alot about talking Japanese.   Meh….

He does have some good advice though.   He says start a Manga first.  Well that is the game plan for myself.

I’m actually working on several Manga’s and/or Webtoons.   I will be posting some work here including videos.  And since it is about how to make anime even if you are not the greatest artist this should help all of you out.   Recently I just got a great pipeline going for manga and anime.    If you want tutorials it will be under my category called “Anime Class!”

Now take some of this video as advice but some of it falls under goofy parody like advice and not really being 100% serious.

I hate the last part of the video but there are again some gems, especially the part about making a manga.

Making a Manga is easier than a full anime but as you create your manga you can start gaining fans and then Kickstart a full animation.    That is just one route.

I’ve been also keeping up with this guys tutorials.    I’m always looking for easier and faster ways to animate an entire film.  This guy has it right.

I was looking for videos about how to make anime and came across this.

Here is the making of video

Now I know what you are thinking.   What can I learn from this?  Actually you can learn 3 important things.

1. You want to make money out of your anime you have to reach an audience.   Or if you simply want as many people to enjoy it you must find an audience.   Notice how may hits this guy has. It is in Spanish.  There are tons of fans in the world who love, love, love anime.  Why not create something specific for some group especially if you are part of said group.  Like this guy.

2. Get out and film live action shots and learn how to piece things together without having first sit down and animate.  It will greatly increase your skills and who says your story has to be animated?

3. If you want it animated then try this…..film it in real life, then animate on top of it.

I eat up everything I can to learn from the masters.  Just watching how they work can give you so many clues into how things work and how you can put it into action.

Here is one or a few of my favorite Behind the scenes looks at the making of anime.
