I thought I’d share this with you all.

He talks alot about talking Japanese.   Meh….

He does have some good advice though.   He says start a Manga first.  Well that is the game plan for myself.

I’m actually working on several Manga’s and/or Webtoons.   I will be posting some work here including videos.  And since it is about how to make anime even if you are not the greatest artist this should help all of you out.   Recently I just got a great pipeline going for manga and anime.    If you want tutorials it will be under my category called “Anime Class!”

Now take some of this video as advice but some of it falls under goofy parody like advice and not really being 100% serious.

I hate the last part of the video but there are again some gems, especially the part about making a manga.

Making a Manga is easier than a full anime but as you create your manga you can start gaining fans and then Kickstart a full animation.    That is just one route.

I wanted to share some of my favorite covers to some great anime theme songs.

So why am I sharing this?  Well if you are going to make your own anime you do not want to forget MUSIC!  Music is important to any anime.  It builds the moment and builds the crescendo.    You know the hero is about to win and things are going to get excited when it happens and it connects people to your story in ways you cannot even fathom.  But how excited do you get when you hear this?

Yes music is powerful.  You want people to connect to your music.   One great thing is there are tons of musicians who love anime and would work with you on creating an awesome track!  This can be one of the most important parts of your story.   So think long and hard about creating an awesome theme with an awesome singer/songwriter.    Today it is all but possible!

I’ve been also keeping up with this guys tutorials.    I’m always looking for easier and faster ways to animate an entire film.  This guy has it right.

Here is an artist showing us how to use Sequencer to make cinematics.  First let us show you the level of work you can do in UE4

Here is the making of this awesome looking cinematic and here are some videos that can show you how to do it yourself.

Here is the making of…

I hope you can see the possibilities.  This animation was done in real time/live.   They used characters and motion capture.

Motion capture is getting a lot cheaper.  .  I showed a video in the posts that shows just how much cheaper they are getting.  So the question is can you combine Cheap motion capture, with say Poser, Iclone or Daz characters?

Imagine using something like the characters below.  Popping some mocap ln there and using Ue4 for the render?

Michel Victor has some cool work.

He has extensive tutorials on how to add animation to a still drawing.  You don’t have to make the whole anime frame by frame.  Why not do a manga with a little bit of pizzaz to it.

You can get your tutorials here…

So I wanted to tell you about one of my favorite creators Brian Haberlin.     It looks like his graphic novel Anomaly is coming to life on the Hollywood screen.

http://deadline.com/2013/09/relativity-acquires-skip-brittenham-and-brian-haberlin-created-pic-anomaly-586589

Relativity has closed a deal to finance, produce and distribute Anomaly, a live-action feature based on the interactive comic book created and written by top showbiz lawyer Skip Brittenham and Brian Haberlin. The script will be written by Ed Ricourt and Joe Roth is producing with Relativity’s Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley.

Which I think is totally awesome for him!

I’m sure many of you would like to create and get something on the screen, like a full fledged anime.  Well truth is you can.  You just have to create it first in some form or other.

I remember a great storyteller and one of my favorite, if not my favorite creator of all time, tell me if you create it they will come.

That man was Doug Tenapel.

So guys if you really want to do this and get an anime created go for it.  At least make a manga and put it on Webtoons or something to that effect.  Then you will see if they come or not.

This has a sort of an Appleseed, Final Fantasy feel to it.

Here is a CGI Breakdown.

I was thinking could you make a Final Fantasy looking Anime, Cartoon or Manga using Poser or Daz 3d?

I was thinking you could take a few elements like this and do something similiar to the above without having to create every single asset.

Get to it folks.

Also why are almost every short animation out there about someone getting chased by something else in a weird world.  Do we like being chased?
