I really like this method used by these comic book creators.  Poser may seem like a cheat but I’m really wanting to tell stories.   Noticed in this webinar that Brian said he can do about 6 pages per day.   This gives you speed and quality that you would not normally be able to get out of hand drawn work.

You can apply the same principals in this video for Anime or Manga.    I hope you enjoy this awesome Webinar.

I always loved this little tutorial.  It is from the creator of GANTZ  GANTZ has been made into a manga, movie and anime.

The author uses 3d models, traces over them and adds detail and walla he has a manga.

Creator Gantz uses Poser

Here is some more of his current work.  That might be an idea to make your own manga or anime.

In the next few posts I will be showing you more of the stuff I will be working on and I will be using this method more readily but using Poser similiar to Brian Haberlin

Here is his method.  I hope you can glean some off this method.

Sometimes you may feel all these cool tools are needed to make your own animation and that it costs TONS of money but the truth is there are tools out there which are totally free of charge and are very capable of helping you create and tell your story.

I’ve followed this team around for some time and have enjoyed watching them work on their project.   I’m posting this here so you can see what free tools they use and check out the tons of tutorials they have that can help you create something cool today.

If you are creative and think outside the box you can use almost any digital tool to create your own anime.  I wanted to share with you some tutorials and workflow used by my friend Kel-Chan.  She is a one person anime making machine.    She uses MMD and has learned how to kit bash and create all types of original characters.  In this set of tutorials you will see just how she does it from animating to using MMD and kitbashing.

If you are unfamiliar with MMD it is a Japanese software used to create all those Miku Dance videos.

You can download the free software here.

Monty has created his own Anime series here in my hometown of Austin.  I thought that was so cool.   Here are some behind the scenes videos I hope you enjoy.

You can glean so much by watching others work.   I learned so much from watching him work and will be employing them in my animated series.

Stay tuned for more updates.

I love Cinema 4d and M Dot Strange.  He is what you call an UBERECTOR.  He has created 3 full length animated films all by himself in 10 years.    That is amazing.

He can definitely give you a bunch of tips in this Filmmaking Workshop.

Blender is a great tool if you are on a budget.    Why?  It is free and does everything that an expensive 3d program can do.  Blender has been used by tons of people to make shorts and movies.  Blender is not my cup of tea but for many artists they can make wonderful things.

Here is a tutorial by artist Brandon White who has created his own Anime style series.

Here are some of his episodes

One of the best ways to learn is to check out the behind the scenes to watch over an artist’s shoulder.
